What this asshat does for a living is not country music — it’s bro’ country, and it bears no resemblance to real country music. Compare this knothead to Hank, the Hag, Johnny, the Possum, George Strait, or even today’s Mo Pitney, and he comes off looking like Taylor Swift.
Is he bro country? The little I’ve read about him suggested alt-country. some of which is OK, but most of them know full well that they’re attempting to undermine the patriotic underpinnings of traditional country music. The bro-country types just make it all ridiculous.
