Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell Stick It to Trump – Will Not Fund Border Wall Funding Bill

Never-Trump Republican leaders Speaker Paul Ryan and Majority Leader Mitch McConnell told reporters this week they will not fund the Trump Border Wall in the upcoming spending bill.

Ryan and McConnell passed a record $1.3 trillion spending bill in March. The spending bill funded Planned Parenthood and sanctuary cities but NOT the Trump border wall.

And now the Republican Party leaders are going to stick it to President Trump and his voters once again. They’re not going to fund the border wall in September. The Daily Caller reported:

During a radio interview with WHAS on Friday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said the wall on the U.S.-Mexico border will likely not make it into the next funding legislation, which must be passed by the end of September in order to avoid another government shutdown.

When directly asked if the funding of the border wall would have to wait until after midterm elections, the Republican senator replied “probably,” noting that it is “something [Democrats and Republicans] do have a disagreement on.”

“But most of the government will be covered and then at the end of the year, if we can’t reach an agreement on that, we’ll do what’s called a ‘continuing resolution’ for that little portion of the government spending that’s left unpassed in individual bills,” McConnell added. McConnell and Speaker of the House Paul Ryan met with Trump on Wednesday to discuss the funding legislation. The following day, Ryan also indicated the wall funding looked unlikely to be included in the current legislation.

Trump said he would veto this coming bill if border wall funding
was not in it. I expect him to keep his word, as many of us do.

“”””””Ryan and McConnell passed a record $1.3 trillion spending bill in March.””””””””””

Trump went along with that to get his military funding. He didn’t seem to like it. Hopefully he won’t cave in September since one of his main campaign promises was that the wall will be built.

President Trump needs to point out that by not committing to our laws and funding the wall that Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell are contributing to the flow of illegal drugs, bribes to our politicians, MS13, human trafficking and sex slave trafficking.

A tactical mid term chess move. To which I determine that IF the wall is not an important issue, perhaps the lagging appointments of judges should be prioritized at this point.

So uh, months after he said he was going to leave, when does the scheming little prick Ryan go?

He has no support. No one thinks he’s a leader. And we all know he’s just another run of the mill Irish Catholic Democrat, pretending to be a Republican because he couldn’t get elected if he told the truth about himself.

McConnell? A “Republican”? In what galaxy? He’s another Blue Dog Democrat, from a backwater state that has no leadership to speak of. And he decides what the West will be like?

Jim Jordan for Speaker. Tom Cotton for Senate Majority leader.

Don Trump, President forever.

McConnell has at least helped with the SCOTUS appointments. Ryan on the other hand is an obstacle to all progress.

Ryan can’t leave soon enough. He needs to start making those Ryan Romney 2020 posters.

Paul Ryan is insufferable. It’s a good thing he is retiring; but, really, he had no choice, because he was not going to be re-elected.

Ryan passed the tax bill. That was what he wanted to accomplish and is exactly what he did.

Can you all see that the GOPe is throwing the game? They want DJT to lose. A midterm loss is the quickest way to impeachment.

He would have been reelected. That’s where the primary voters come in. Virginia is the only one. Take out McCarthy(Calif) then I’ll take it seriously. Good for Jordan.
