NY Times publisher tells Trump anti-press attacks 'dangerous and harmful'

The publisher of the New York Times has warned Donald Trump in a White House meeting that the president's escalating attacks on the news media are "inflammatory" and "dangerous and harmful to our country."
Trump's meeting with A.G. Sulzberger, who took the reins of the prestigious newspaper on Jan. 1, took place July 20, following a request from the White House for what appeared to be a routine get-to-know-you session.
The session, which also included Times editorial page editor James Bennet, had remained secret under mutual agreement until Trump tweeted about it early Sunday.
"Had a very good and interesting meeting at the White House with A.G. Sulzberger, Publisher of the New York Times," Trump said on Twitter.
"Spent much time talking about the vast amounts of Fake News being put out by the media & how that Fake News has morphed into phrase, 'Enemy of the People.' Sad!"
Sulzberger, in a statement released by the Times, said the president's tweet effectively "put the meeting on the record," and he described what appeared to be an unusually tough and blunt session with the president.

We were always taught to beware of Government misinformation, AKA Propaganda being disseminated to the Masses. Books were Published and Movies were made showing such the impact if such Evil on Society.

Folks, hacking a political party’s server, does not validate a claim the hackers stole an election.
Further, it doesn’t prove any collusion between our nation’s leadership and another nation’s leadership.
Further, the claim that it did damages our nation’s ability to conduct foreign policy.
Further, we need to conduct foreign policy to avoid confrontations.
Further, the New York Times has never admitted that Trump didn’t collude with Putin, and that his visits with him are one of the things he is required to do on behalf of our nation.
Despite all these things on the record, the New York Times publisher still has the temerity to take Trump to task.
Instead what that jerk should have done is fall on his knees and beg forgiveness for what he has done to Trump, to our nation, and to the American people.
The next day he should fill the front page with exactly what his paper did that has led tens of millions of our citizens to think Trump is some kind of crook or traitor.
Until something along these lines takes place, the New York Times will cease to be a legitimate member of a healthy press.
That being the case, he can shut his enterprise down tomorrow.
And strangely as it may seem to him, our nation will survive, since it will be better and not worse for it.
What’s dangerous is a news media that seeks to recreate Pravda the way it was in the 1950s.

The NYT does not practice journalism. They are propagandists serving as an attack arm of those who would overthrow the legitimately elected President of the United States. The country would improve if the gates of hell opened under their building and swallowed them up.

The thing is most of the news about Trump is negative, since the dims control most of the news. He doesn’t react to news that is simply negative, what he reacts to is when the stories are false. If he doesn’t stand up to them when they don’t get it right people will think it is true.
Most of the articles now aren’t even journalism, they are what used to be called tabloid journalism. A sensational headline and the article does not back up the headline. There are so few real reporters/journalists now it is crazy. They do need to be held to a higher standard.
We need a media, but we don’t need what is only propaganda for the dims- that is not news. There is also a lot that is not relevant...how much ice cream he eats. So many stories like that daily. What?
The big discussion on social media this morning is that Bernie claims the Trump campaign has ordered a lot of Trump flags/banners for 2020 campaign and they are being made at two factories in China. The factories in China say they are making them but not who ordered them. The Trump campaign stated they did not order them and the official campaign stuff is and will be made in the USA. The article being copied around the MSM just assumes the campaign ordered them and is lying about it- they also claim they were ordered early to beat the tariffs.
No attempt to do any investigating- just a smear. Campaign items are sold constantly on ebay, I am guessing an ebay seller or more than one ordered them. Or someone selling them at the other sites that sell that type of stuff.
The dims are going crazy with their “gotcha” over this with no evidence the campaign has anything to do with it. They are filling up comments on the flag article with pictures of Trump ties made in China, when I don’t recall him ever saying his stores sold only American made items.
The thing is so much manufacturing left this country it did not leave many options for American made items- that is the issue Trump spoke of, campaigned about and is trying to fix by bringing back manufacturing. No mention of that in the article though. It was all about the “gotcha” when there was no evidence of anything connecting Trump to the Chinese Trump flags.
The DNC toadies in the press need to stop all their crying and whining about “attacks” and “man up”. Look at all the times Brian Williams and Hillary Clintoon were attacked by tanks, snipers, IEDs and even nuclear explosions! They didn’t cry. They bragged about it! LOL.
