A day after announcing he will run for speaker of the House of Representatives after the November election, Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio., was interviewed on “Fox & Friends” to discuss his candidacy for leadership.
Jordan highlighted many of the successes of the Trump administration, including tax cuts and regulatory reform, but pointed to many of Congress’ failures as evidence that a change in leadership is needed.
“Repeal Obamacare, reform welfare, build the border security wall, fix our immigration system, and control spending — we haven’t done that,” Jordan said.
“I think this is real simple,” he added. “We make the job of being a member of Congress way too difficult. It’s really basic. What did you tell the voters you were going to do? Let’s do that.”

The powers that be do not want Jordan to become Speaker of the House for obvious reasons.
In a perfect world, He’d be Speaker. I doubt it will turn out that way though.

Jim Jordan is exactly the kind of speaker we need.
And that is why the Bush League Republicans and the Democrats will make sure he does not become speaker.

Voters in Bakersfield should vote out McCarthy for 2 years. Raise the eyebrows-bigger than Cantor. That would insure Jordan becomes speaker. Each congressman should ask his or her constituents who they prefer. Won’t happen because they KNOW the answer. So we’ll be stuck with the status quo.

From what I’ve been reading, Jordan looks better and better.
Now, is he just paying lip service, or does he really intend to do all that he has addressed?
Both bodies of Congress are corrupt.
That is what many said about Trump becoming POTUS.
Trump can’t replace the weasels in Congress, that’s our job.
We in VA-7 showed you how it is done when we took out the weasel Eric Cantor.
Note that this is the realistic way Jordan could become Speaker, since a conservative could not otherwise get enough votes.
It’s essentially power sharing. Enough RINO committee chairmen might be enticed to protect their turf by supporting Jordan rather than gamble that the whole GOP caucus would become conservative enough to oust RINO chairmen. It’s a convoluted attempt, but might work.
