That rant by Rush at the beginning of today's show was both funny and annoying. GEEZ, sorry you had to deal with real-life problems (like waiting in traffic, tech not working, pet problems) like the rest of us.

So sad "the staff" wasn't able to get Rush's cat into the carrier. Imagine having a "staff" that does a ton of work for you 24/7, 365 days a year: cook meals, clean house, gardening, all kinds of endless chores, etc., huh?? Good grief!

Love Rush, but often he reveals just how out of touch he is with regular folks.

Hey staff, try a pillow case, then drop the cat in the case into the carrier - vet recommended and it works.

I’ve never had a cat, but maybe Rush should have lured the cat to the carrier with FOOD, then taken it away from the cat at the last minute while cat was trapped in the carrier. Or could Rush give the cat a tiny morsel of food to get it in the carrier?

You have to get the cat into the carrier when they are ASLEEP. House cats have trouble waking up quickly - they are dopey for a minute and easy to handle. That’s what I’ve always done; it always works.

Rush....All you have to do is open the pet taxi and lean it at an angle. Door open. Pick up cat by scruff and firmly hold back legs. Put cat in carrier back end first. Have someone else there to shut the door after you kind of gently drop cat those few inches so he falls to the bottom of the leaning angle pet taxi and the other person slams door shut before cat even hits the bottom.

Yep, they are mad because they hate it when they are outsmarted. Drop in pillowcase then drop into carrier then they emerge wondering how they fell for that. Better than sneaking the crate out and attempting to surprise them.
