New York Times publisher A.G. Sulzberger confirmed a meeting with President Donald Trump, revealing on Sunday that he urged the president to stop calling the media “fake news.”
“I told him that although the phrase ‘fake news’ is untrue and harmful, I am far more concerned about his labeling journalists ‘the enemy of the people,’” he explained in a five-paragraph statement about his meeting with the president.
Trump revealed the meeting first on Twitter, noting that he had an “interesting” meeting with Sulzberger.
“Spent much time talking about the vast amounts of Fake News being put out by the media & how that Fake News has morphed into phrase, ‘Enemy of the People,’” he wrote. “Sad!”
Sulzberger said he urged Trump to stop vocally attacking journalists, warning of threats and possible violence as a result.

Quite often, when the president calls the press fake news, he points out that the term does not apply to all journalists. So if the shoe fits...

Quit publishing fake news, and we will quit calling you fake news.
1.) Yes, A.G. - your NYT dutifully publishes falsehoods as a first principle.
2.) Yes, A.G. - your NYT regularly prints libelous “anonymous” hearsay.
3.) Yes, A.G. - your NYT most definitely is an enemy of this republic and its people.
4.) And therefore, A.G. Sulzberger ... You, your father and your grandfather can all go sodomize yourselves with a baseball bat - sideways.

Start publishing hit pieces on Hillary and Obama. Dig up Obama’s past and publish it rather than hide it. And start praising Trump for all his good deeds, and kiss his ass like you did to Obama all those years. And say f’ you to liberal socialist troublemakers.
Maybe then we’ll think about not calling you fake news.

I could be misremembering but IIRC wasn’t the term Fake News used by the Dems to attack Trump. And like with other things Trump fired it back at them and has kept it up. But I think they actually started it
