New York Times publisher A.G. Sulzberger confirmed a meeting with President Donald Trump, revealing on Sunday that he urged the president to stop calling the media “fake news.”
“I told him that although the phrase ‘fake news’ is untrue and harmful, I am far more concerned about his labeling journalists ‘the enemy of the people,’” he explained in a five-paragraph statement about his meeting with the president.
Trump revealed the meeting first on Twitter, noting that he had an “interesting” meeting with Sulzberger.
“Spent much time talking about the vast amounts of Fake News being put out by the media & how that Fake News has morphed into phrase, ‘Enemy of the People,’” he wrote. “Sad!”
Sulzberger said he urged Trump to stop vocally attacking journalists, warning of threats and possible violence as a result.

IF the NY Times is NOT necessarily “fake news”, I think it’s entirely FAIR to say that they ARE a major contributor to the growth of, if not one of the original creators of the “Authenticity Gap”.
PS. Im writing the Whitehouse and encouraging the President to continue to speak the truth about the NYT, do the same. They’re losing and they know it.

Assaulting MAGA hat wearers everywhere;
Ambushing Judge Pirro on The View;
Canceling Roseanne for dubious reasons;
Blocking ICE office in Oregon;
Assaulting ICE officers;
Shakespeare in the Park depicting assassination of Trump-like Caesar by Secret-Service-like Praetorian Guards;
Comediene doing up faked severed head of Trump and displaying it on national TV;
Nasty Woman talking about blowing up WH on inauguration day.

The New York Times doesn’t give us ‘news’ - they give us ‘future projections’...
“News” is:
Who was involved?
What happened?
Where did it take place?
When did it take place?
Why did that happen?
Future projections are what journalists ‘feel’ will happen.
Was a democrat or a Republican involved?
Why was the Democrat right? (Explain “feelings”)
Why was the Republican wrong? (Explain ‘feelings”)
How do Liberal ‘elites’ feel about the issue? And why?
Project into the future reasons why ‘what Republican say’ will lead to disaster.
Project into the future and explain why ‘what democrats say’ will make the future better.
When in doubt - quote the guy one desk over as ‘an un-named source’....
The NYT is the king of fake news, and the arch enemy of the people.
Maybe they prefer being called “Bald-Faced Liars” instead...

And presented WITHOUT a slant one way or the other.
Like the ‘NewsReaders’ on Radio/TV instead of reporting the fire, they tend to take on the ‘tragic look’ and looks of despair.
WOULDN’T be bad if it was REALLY sincere BUT when a nano second after shedding tears for something, they are yucking it up with the sportscaster or weatherperson it comes across as real phony.
AND I haven’t watched TV news (except in quick snippets) for quite a while and that trend was starting when cable started interfering with the locals and they had to get more ‘personal’.
The networks (local & National)as a whole have decided that (for the most part) one of everything must be represented and has to be ‘pretty people’ and before you know it you have 3 woman - one has to be Hispanic, a couple of Black guys and they are ‘good to go’.
Would imagine a visitor from a foreign land may view the ‘news’ and say “How come I see so many White Men working etc yet when it comes to TV news one would think they don’t exist”?
Of course, once they are entrenched, their ain’t no moving the demographic as now it is an entitlement.
Supreme Court is no longer the BEST QUALIFIED, if this seat is a woman, has to be replaced with a woman, if Liberal, has to be replaced with a Liberal, If Conservative, the Liberals agree to ‘bend the rule’ and you can place a Liberal Woman in the Conservative Guys place.
They keep saying PDT doesn’t have enough ‘swing’ in the Senate/Congress...
BO had no problem there as he had his own party backing him AND a good number of the Rs, while not ‘backing him’ at least didn’t ‘squeal’ when he was greasing them up for the ‘BOHICA’ moment - in fact they smiled and seemed to enjoy it while the press was allowing 57 states, my Muslim ‘religion’, I will have more flexibility, and a plethora of misspeaks to happen without a peep.

The NYT and the WaPo set the parameters. The NYT is very detailed and nuanced. The WaPo cites a party line of opposition to our nation and culture. The rest of the media takes this as fences to write outside of with all the vigor of destruction they can muster.
They never have to be more honest than the NYT or kinder then the Washington Post. Everything from GQ, USA Today and Sac Bee reflects this genuflection to the agenda setters.
Fake news is that foisted on the public by the constant drone of destruction from these two.
To NYT: Stop pushing “fake News” and Trump will stop calling you on it. Pretty simple solution IMO.
