The average emissions of six major pollutants in the U.S. remained unchanged from 2016 levels to 2017, the latest edition of the Environmental Protection Agencys report on national emissions data reveals.
The report tracks broad changes in air quality in the United States by calculating average emissions from the most common pollutants every year. U.S. emissions have declined significantly over time, about 73 percent from 1970 to 2017, according to the report released Tuesday.

The article is fake. They use the 2017 date, but if you click thru to the epa report, the data ends at 2016
Not to mention that it’s now 2018. What a fraud huh?
Rule of thumb is that stationary sources are dominated by power plants and there coal is being curtailed and replaced by nat gas and renewables.
On mobile sources, that is dominated by cars and light duty trucks. Frump could change the CAFE stds but that is wait and see.
There is not much growth in the future of the US. We won't be adding a bunch of new power plants or automobiles.
