I noticed last month that a group of SA farmers had gone off to Russia to look at the ‘crazy’ idea of setting up farms there.

Russia still has a vast amount of land with no farm production going on. I think the Russian idea was to go and interest these guys....offering up a low lease deal on farm production land, and get them started. It wouldn’t surprise me if you had 40,000 South African farmers relocate over the next ten years.

What a neat idea. The US could also benefit by bringing in the more affluent, skilled educated refugees from the Communists who will turn SA into another Zimbabwe.

Given the corrupt oligarchy (dictatorship?) that is Russia, how will SA farmers do any better than Russian farmers? Russians have been farming Russian land for centuries before the Boers even existed. Surely they know as well as anyone how to reap bountiful harvests.

I very much doubt that what holds Russia back from being the breadbasket it could be is a lack of farmers.

Russia needs people and the white South Africans need a home. I think this is a marriage made in heaven. There are millions of them left in South Africa.

And Putin will be a hero.
