That’s part of the equation. The primary reason for the emergence of these so-called departments is the pressure the government put on universities to hire minorities.

Universities had a hard time finding minorities to fill positions in traditional departments. They even had full-time people searching and when they found someone, multiple schools would be competing for them.

Opening departments of gender and black studies solved everything. They provided jobs for minorities and majors for marginal students.

Yeah, well...

You didn’t specifically refer to ‘Bolsheviks’.

You specifically referred to Jews.

You did it when you used the triple parentheses. BTW, many of the Bolsheviks were NOT Jews.

Yes, they provided jobs and majors but at a terrible cost.
The student is saddled with debt for an “education” that he or she can’t use for gainful employment. A “fru-fru degree” is not worth the time, money or paper it is printed on if one can’t find someone to hire him or her.
Colleges and Universities should not be in the business of caring for marginal students. It devalues the degrees offered. Perhaps a better plan would be to discourage the marginal student from going to a university with a four year program and encourage him or her to learn a trade or skill that is marketable.
The government pressure is really in the form of money.
Follow Hillsdale College’s plan. They do not accept government money and thereby are free to provide a sound education to their students.
The rest of the Universities and Colleges simply aid and abet the government’s goal: to continue the “dumbing down” of our nation.

That is not a solution.
