I wish that were the case, but it’s not. Most union workers have political opinions, but what matters most is not what politician gets the union’s endorsement, but what each individual thinks the union will get them in increased pay and benefits.

Union bosses sold out their constituents long ago by supporting Democrat candidates with a platform of open borders and amnesty. Mass immigration - legal and illegal, undercuts the salaries of American workers. Unions used to recognize this and make opposition to illegal immigration part of their platform (even La Raza's hero Cesar Chavez supported deportation of illegal immigrants for this reason). Today, they just toe the liberal Democrat party line on all issues, whether it harms their own members or not.
