On a semi related note, today because of an exchange over at Hannity forums, or rather as a random musing after same, I’ve been pondering the likely inverse relationship between being genuinely easily amused and being easily offended.

It seems to me that people who are easily amused should be less likely to be easily offended. And that is especially true of being offended by proxy, which is to say being offended because you think something should offend others.

You may have noticed this last phenomenon at times when a bunch of sheltered white brats or straight people scream louder about oppression of minorities and / or poofters than many minorities or poofters do. They take offense by proxy.

Indeed, the majority of the academic white guilt and SJW pandering industry seems to me to be people being offended by proxy.

One would imagine that, though they may have a sense of humor subordinate to ideology, that such people find it very, vary hard to just be amused.

Which also reminds me of something else I recently read about, of SJWs hearing old songs or seeing old movies and being horrified at how (insert here) they are. This is for things like the songs Ebony and Ivory or We Are the World.

Don’t forget about any one of the Mel Brooks movies.

These people would have the vapors over Blazing Saddles and be demanding that he face a hate crimes trial in front of the Hague Tribunal or something like that.
