I have a feeling that every Democratic donor who does the math and starts donating to Republicans instead of Democrats are about to be outed and the Dems are going to try mightily to pretend to be all pure as the driven snow while they smear the GOP with all these folks they have been enabling for years!

As I was saying for months before November ‘16, no matter what anyone may think of Trump he is not going to DC with the machine in place for corruption that Hillary had.
Even if he wanted to be corrupt he’ll need time to learn the specifics of Washington DC corruption and build the infrastructure for it. All the while he will have to contend with an adversarial media that will be out for revenge, eager to skewer him over the slightest misdeed and likewise the Democratic Party is ever out for blood.
Compare that to Clinton, who has already engaged in pay for play, has the lay of the land down and the infrastructure in place, who the press will go to great lengths to cover up for her and the Republicans will as usual turn a blind eye in their evergreen madness to seek the approval of Democrats. She could hit the ground running in more or less total security from ever paying the piper.
The Leftist I presented such reasonings with scoffed, of course. The moderates were bored, naturally. Just more right wing muckraking.
