The common denominator is marijuana Kudos, absolutely, and thank you! Only addicts, liebertarians, addicted liebertarians, and fools ignore that fact.
It's as obvious a fact as feeling pain everytime you slam it in a door. But, the simple minded Freepers/imposters come on these threads defending their sin.

No, stupid. Alcohol isn't harmless. But that has nothing to do with this discussion.
You addicts. Argue via distraction.
Try to stay on topic. But wait. That's impossible when you're on drugs. Isn't it?

John Denver is a CO icon, but he was a bit pie in the sky, wasnt he? Still love his tunes, though.Saw him just the other night singing "Annie's Song"at a wedding reception on Cumbres Pass! A really sweet moment.

Alcohol doesn’t degrade an entire society the way marijuana does and I think you are aware of that unless you are a follower of Carry Nation.
Now repeat after me like the pot libertarians, “Alcohol is a drug. Alcohol is a drug. Alcohol is a drug. Drinkers and potheads are morally equivalent but potheads get into fewer car crashes.”
Next time you pull up to a stop sign, wait there until it turns green.

Interesting for someone who mostly grew up in Texas and was living in suburban Minneapolis (wife ‘Annie’ was a Minnesotan) when he hit the big time.

I’m a recovering alcoholic bub. 28 years I haven’t touched a drop or a drug. Alcohol does FAR more damage to society then weed does since it’s legal and more socially acceptable.

Fabulous writing, for once, that provides concrete details of its thesis which explain why the big move out of CO. Wheres the next Colorado going to be? Texas, Tennessee, Idaho? Where are these folks going?
Californians are like a plague. Wherever they go they spread their disease and bring destruction.

And as weed becomes more socially acceptable and legal, there will be far more widespread negative effects which for now are mostly felt at the individual level, bub.

Well bub, then lets bring back Alcohol Prohibition, that was a success, wasn't it? And while we're at it, lets put tobacco in the same category. You up for that?

‘Bad consequences of one drug do not justify bad consequences of another.’
sure they do, if the usage of the one drug does not involve incarceration and the usage of the other does...
To: jmacusa
Enough with the bubs. If alcohol is as destructive as you say and Prohibition was a failure, then what do you propose? Sounds like the 21st Amendment left the wet or dry decision up to the states. Things usually work out better at that level.
BTW, congrats on your success in staying straight.

sin...? ingestion of a naturally occurring plant is a sin...? says who...? may not be the best idea, but a sin...? please explain...

‘Alcohol doesnt degrade an entire society the way marijuana does’
in the immortal words of John McEnroe,’are you serious...?’
very few things throughout history have degraded entire societies than alcohol abuse...

Legalize the weed. This way there is some means of penalties for providing it to minors. This isn't a question of morality. Do people do things immoral and illegal under their influence of drugs and alcohol? Yes they do. But why make the responsible user and drinker party to the irresponsible? My friend stripped of all emotion drugs are a commodity, which means money. When you have a problem that involves money you get control of the money. Do that and you get control of the problem.

Smoking weed helps them to make really bad decisions. I've known several worthless bastards that started smoking young, and never developed any ambition. Oh, I'm not arguing that marijuana is a good thing to use...just that it shouldn't be illegal.

The Western Slope is a great area. Are housing prices going up a lot? Prices on the front range are high, the market is hot, multiple offers on homes & condos, owners getting full pop.
Western slope market is much better than it was a few years back, realtors are busy, but prices are much more reasonable. New home inventory is keeping pace with population increase, at least for now.

I think we should blame that dorky old singer, John Denver. :-)
Nothing good comes from John Denver.
Look at how Alien Covenant turned out.
Not to mention the end of Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
