It demanded (and has received) every single kind of financial transaction that flows anywhere through the U.S. economy; and it has created a database that stores it all. And the CFPB is not accountable to Congress and gets its spending needs by drawing directly from the Federal Reserve. With that database the CFPB is on the biggest, permanent, federal government fishing expedition anyone could ever conceive.
