blue wave ain’t happening. I’d bet on R gains, in fact, BUT turnout is the key, so let’s not get over confident. Dems have so much rage fueling them every day, every hour that their turnout could be huge.
....

Blue wave will happen...blue liquid at the bottom of their portopotties...

...broadcasters lightened up on Mr. Trump and the economy. Seven out of 10 of those stories were negative. “There’s no precedent for a president receiving such a sustained level of negative press over such a long period of time,”

The political class bonded with elitist media to establish themselves as 'royalty' - they're fighting back against anyone challenging that fake nobility...

Any person telling a child 'anyone can grow up to be President of the United States' is lying. Corrupt 'elites' have closed ranks against 'commoners' - against the people.

Enjoyed your insightful comments kabar.

Interesting...we get red tides on the Oregon Coast...but this year, we had a similar thing happen in our (inland) city water...some time of algae bloom....you could not boil it, filter it, or anything.

Our side was off their game all morning... Maybe something's going on we don't know about

Trump tweet 3 hours ago:

Why aren’t Mueller and the 17 Angry Democrats looking at the meetings concerning the Fake Dossier and all of the lying that went on in the FBI and DOJ? This is the most one sided Witch Hunt in the history of our country. Fortunately, the facts are all coming out, and fast!

In case you missed it over at Sundance headquarters they have a brilliant take on the structure behind Pres.Trumps strategy regarding tariffs especially with China.

its here:

https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2018/08/02/understanding-phase-ii-of-the-u-s-vs-china-trade-confrontation/

♦Because of the oppressive nature of the Chinese compliant culture, the citizens within China do not innovate or create. The “Compliance Mindset” is part of the intellectual DNA strain of a Chinese citizen.

Broadly speaking, the modern era Chinese are not able to think outside the box per se’; because the reference of all civil activity has been a history of box control by government, and compliance to stay (think) only within the approved box. The lack of intellectual thought-mapping needed for innovation is why China relies on intellectual theft of innovation created by others.

American culture specifically is based around freedom of thought and severe disdain of government telling us what to do; THAT freedom is necessary for innovation. That freedom actually creates innovation.

Again, broadly speaking Chinese are better students in American schools and universities because the Chinese are culturally compliant. They work well with academics and established formulas, and within established systems, but they cannot create the formula or system themselves.

♦ The Chinese Planning Authority skipped the economic cornerstone. When China planned out their economic entry, they did so from a top-down perspective. They immediately wanted to be manufacturers of stuff. They saw their worker population as a strategic advantage, but they never put the source origination infrastructure into place in order to supply their manufacturing needs. China has no infrastructure for raw material extraction or exploitation.

China relies on: importing raw material, applying their economic skill set (manufacturing), and then exporting finished goods. This is the basic economic structure of the Chinese economy.

See the flaw?

Cut off the raw material, and the China economy slows, contracts, and if nations react severely enough with export material boycotts the entire Chinese economy implodes.

Insert big flashy sign for: “One-Belt / One-Road” HERE The Chinese economic model requires them to have a strategy for sustainability. That is why they have the One-Belt, One Road plan.

Again, we reference the earlier point: Economic strength is the ability of a nation to sustain itself. [Think about an economy during conflict or war] China cannot independently sustain itself, therefore China is necessarily vulnerable.

China is dependent on Imports (raw materials) AND Exports (finished goods).

and much much more excellent piece on how the Chinese economy exists.

Spot on remarks with regard to China. Truth be known is that the Chinese are very backward in R&D to a degree that they must steal innovation and creative development. Many of their accomplishments are reverse engineered. No question that they have a multitude of successful students and maybe someday will have thinkers to take them to the next level. Right now they would be sunk if they couldn’t steal, or buy, trade secrets. Without freedom China will collapse when Trump fully implements balances in trade and proprietary safeguards.

Seems ironic that in a week where Trumps poll numbers have hovered in record high ground with both mixed and ethnic voters so many leftist pollsters and pundits have been so concerned about our parties chances come November rather than theirs. At least a dozen are very worried about republicans and I think that that is just so sweet and considerate. These cats are really our friends and we probably should do as they suggest: lay off on the press, lay off on Lebron, forget about another tax cut, cancel plans to build the wall, eliminate ICE and open the borders. These and more will ensure that we cut our losses to under 30 seats in the House and 4 seats in the Senate.

Bless their little hearts.

Central Ohio ads are overwhelming. Balderson clearly spending more and ads are negative(O’Conner (a magic name in Columbus) is Pelosi’s stooge, he will raise taxes, he opposes the Wall, he will abolish ICE, love MS-13, etc.). Trump and Pence have been here along with other surrogates. Kasich is sitting it out (he may not help anyway he is so unpopular).

Kellyanne decries the loss of 45 incumbent Rs who retired. She points out that is a huge disadvantage to saving seats and majority.

Yes indeed this election has Donald on the line and it is now 44-R, 43-D

If Balderson loses McConnell and Ryan will use the defeat to stop anything of Trump’s agenda including approving Kavanaugh.

I thought John Bolton looked distracted and somewhat worried about something. He was also fidgeting with his hands. This was not his best TV appearance.

WHAT country is REALLY influencing our elections!?

No country is significantly affecting our elections. Our immigration policies pushed by the globalists are causing demographic changes that will make the Dems the permanent majority party within a decade.

Now this is an amusing comment to have posted on this site - Especially in light of the fact that all of these are RINOs and/or Chairmen of various committees.

Since these Chairmen, who have been in the congress a long time and who probably have used up their six year Chairmanship, can no longer get money to their favorite local (Themself/Familly) businesses. In addition to being RINO's and therefore Democrats in disguise, their Trump derangement allows only one options - Leave the Congress for better paying options

Well...that’s what I mean...where is most of the illegal immigration coming from? Where do most of the “new” voters come from?

Oh, that's why you had the.....nevermind.

For those of you that don't already know, "real" lobsters have massive claws that can break or remove a finger. When cooked, they are full of succulent goodness, not to mention the juice, and so are the claw "legs".

All you need is a bowl of melted butter (and lots of paper towels)

LObsterfest is a huge thing these days, over 30k attend on Saturday with other events before and after.Great time is had by all.

Yes, we're having our 71st annual....five days of festivities and lobster feasting in Rockland Maine.
