Having been a young boy myself, I can easily imagine doing this.

Prosecute whoever called 9-1-1 because a doll scared them. But if someone didn’t get their order of Chicken McNuggets, that would be perfectly understandable.
The fact that a city employee had to call for backup says a lot more about government than a few kids playing a prank.
The police are routinely called for imagined expressions of “hate.” Not hate crime.
It is not a crime to scratch TRUMP on a sidewalk, or to throw a banana peel on a tree, or to eat watermelon.
A friend of mine is a retired cop and says black and whites doing crimes together is a growing trend. The white kids figure they will have access to the excuses the black kids get away with if they are caught. The black kids figure they will have access to the white kids financial resources to higher lawyers. It is a win-win for both of them.

I miss the time before 24-7 news with it’s endless recycling of nothing stories, and social media and hypersensitivity. A time when if a white girl was missing it wasn’t on TV 24-7. A time when if someone tied a noose it wasn’t an international racial incident, a time when reporting a 20 year old butt grab incident was thought to be little too late in reporting, a time when democrats were not suffering from mental illnesses.
That is a neighborhood with a 6-lane boulevard, Washington Avenue, running across it. Above the boulevard, long-gentrified row houses and town houses selling from $300K to $million plus. Below the boulevard, long-established gubmit housing projects.
I guess I'm just Old Fashioned. In my Day anyone who came across something like that would either (a), shake their head and keep walking or (b), take it sown and discard it in the nearest Trash Receptacle.
I thought 911 was only supposed to be used when a Person is in jeopardy, due to an Accident, a Health Emergency or if they are the Victim of a Crime.
