It looks like Kobach will win tomorrow. he was ahead before this endorsement, so this will probably seal the deal.

The problem with that is I haven't seen anything saying he is ahead. The Trafalger Group poll putting him ahead of Colyer was matched by a Remington Research poll putting Colyer ahead of Kobach. Also, a quarter of the Kansas population lives in Wyandotte and Johnson Counties, and the Kansas 3rd went for Hillary in 2016 so a Trump endorsement might not help in the eastern part of the state.

The question is, can he win the general?

Depends on how much of the Democrat vote Orman siphons off I guess. One thing about third party candidates is that they very seldom do as well the second time around as they did the first time. The question is, can he win the general?

I saw an article that said Kobach was +7 in the Real Clear Politics average, but I see that this was mistaken, its only the Trafalger poll.

The Trump endorsement will help Kobach because it will help the turnout. Many Kobach voters are silent, it’s not socially acceptable.
