Jordan announced a run for House Speaker on July 26th.
Some would say that Jordan won't win. But some also said that about Trump.
Jordan is essentially promising a kind of power-sharing with committee chairmen. Enough RINOs might be fearful enough of Trump and a conservative backlash to try and preserve their committee power by compromising on the Speaker. Without such a deal, Jordan is likely just a token conservative candidate.
