America has had a way of proving academics wrong. Despite strong disapproval by many conservatives, there was no civil war during President Obama’s terms in office, and there will be no civil war now.

I do not recall that anyone on the right ever advocated or committed violence just because Obama was president. We did not like it, we roundly criticized his policies, but we did not threaten genocide. At least in public forums, leftists were talking about how they couldn't wait to start rounding up conservatives once Hillary was elected. And now that she was not elected, they are even more openly promoting violence.

This is just another column claiming a false equivalency between the left and the right. "Oh, of course what the Democrats are doing is dastardly and despicable. But, to be fair, the Republicans do the same thing!" No, they don't.
