An armed bystander shot a man who opened fire at a Florida park filled with over 100 people -- including children -- for a Saturday back-to-school cookout, officials said.
The Titusville Police Department said in a news release the man was involved in a fistfight with another person at the Issac Campbell Park and left around 5:20 p.m. -- only to return with a gun minutes later and start shooting.
A bystander, who was lawfully licensed to carry a firearm, then shot the gunman.

Yeah, yesterday was when we saw it here on FR. Then again this morning and now. Happy ending so it bears repeating. Our old stomping grounds T’ville, Cocoa, Rockledge, Cocoa Beach, Melbourne for 24 years.

WFTV channel 9 in Orlando reported it online last night and again at noon. Even thought they are an ABC affiliate, they are pretty good at reporting the local news.
Fortunately he lives in Brevard county and Sheriff Wayne Ivey is a big supporter of legal concealed carry. The shooter was a vendor at the event and deserves a medal. Probably going to be roasted by the libs.
Yes, Titusville is about 30 odd miles from Orando, and the MSM will report locally, but are slow to report nationally on positive 2A incidents. It’s hard to suppress local news.
I probably missed your intent in holding the national news accountable for not reporting. I would not know as I haven’t watched any big 3 network news for years. Occasionally I try to watch CNN or MSNBC for laughs but am put off pretty quickly.
