He is also the author of Who Are We--The Challenges to America's National Identity that I have at this moment in my hands. It is a great analysis of the American Identity and how it came about. And the challenges we now face as non-Hispanic whites decline in numbers and eventually, influence. If whites develop their own identity in response to blacks and Hispanics identifying themselves based on race or ethnicity, the fabric of the society starts to unravel.

The book was written in 2004. I wonder what Professor Huntington would say now about the Balkanization of America along cultural, racial, ethnic, and linguistic lines? The Democrats with their exploitation of identity/tribal politics are playing with fire.

From what I’ve seen as it has occurred in California... the country ends. There will be no common culture left, just the squabbling over power by the various tribes, some distinctly alien, each trying to enforce their values. In Dreamy, Let’s Make Believe Land this all works.
