There's one political force that Bedard failed to take sufficient account of: POTUS VSG.
Trump is a one-man wrecking ball to the RATs. Not only is he working hard on winning in 2018, the economy is cooking, foreign policy is looking up, people have jobs, the #WalkAway Black vote is a factor, and Trump hates to lose.
The Trump factor outweighs historical guestimates by a long shot. Trump is the political force to reckon with in 2018. This is why the RATs are toast.
Last night I sent 30 minutes scanning Democratic Underground. Lots of disgruntled puppies over there -- for good reason.

Yeah, isn’t it interesting that we heard none of this talk early on about how great Obama’s economy was?
Only now, when everything is going great do that come up with the nonsense about Obama being so fabulous.
It won’t stick.
You gotta give Trump credit. He spends a lot of cycles educating people about how well he’s doing. That’s a big part of politics, but so few politicians know that important game.

The Dems have pulled out Bronco Bama out of “retirement” to counter Trump’s campaigning in midterm races.
This will be the first head’s up race between the two. Lolololol! I don’t think Obama can handle Trump. He’d be trying to “punch way over his head” only to show that is too low a bar for him....
Outclassing Bronco Bama should be easy for Trump!
