"At one point, Andres responded with a simple "yea."

As opposed to a simple "Nay"?

Or, did the author mean, "yeah"?

The author meant “yeah.” The illiteracy in journalists is increasing with each batch of English and communication graduates, because university instructors, administrations and the alumni behind them have been doing their gatekeeping with social and political purposes in mind for at least a couple of generations. They pass the man-haters and homosexuals through to graduation while pushing conservative men out.

Little Wise-ass was probably thinking, “You don’t know who your f***ing with, old man. If we can bring down the President of the United States, we can take you down too...”

"The whole prosecution seems to be spite-driven"

At the same time, it appear to me the judge needs be careful & not give the prosecution grounds for appeal on account of his bias (but I'm just an ignorant deplorable).

They may be trying to bait him into attacking them.

Well, that judge did complain he wasn’t patient. At some point he might recuse, saying that the whole thing is getting his goat.

Though if I were to write an amicus to the judge, it might be just cool it, if this is a BS art act, just let them pile it up and relax and smile, keeping a minimum of order. He can serve it back up to them later in his final brief.

This is a weak case at best. From what I can deduece the prosecution is trying to get Manafort for not registering as a foreign agent and failing to report income by taking unallowable tax deductions.

My BIL who used to work for the IRS told me a long time ago that the only thing that’s really against the law is failing to report all of your income. As long as you report all of your income you can play fast and loose with the deductions. If you get audited they look at the deductions and if they don’t like something they just disallow it and you have to pay up.
