Just a little perspective, as reprehensible as police brutality is, racially motivated or otherwise, we are 100's of thousands more likely to be involved in a car wreck or road rage incident going to and from the stadiums than having to deal with a bad cop.

Curtis West, who co-owns Beef O’Brady’s in Brooksville with his wife Janet, told FOX13 Tampa Bay on Monday there will be no NFL games shown because of the “disrespect” the players have shown.

“Last year, with the kneeling and the disrespect to our veterans and our flag and our country, I was very upset,” West told the station.

The restaurant will save more than $5,000 by canceling its package and instead will offer veterans 40 percent off on food Sundays during game days, the station reported.

AMEN!! My husband and I have been to this Beef O'Brady's restaurant in Brooksville, FL a few times in past years. I live in Connecticut, but have family members sort of in this area. If I ever go back to this place, I will thank Curtis and Janet West personally for this. :-)

Still will be some football though, via the local Fox, CBS, and NBC affiliates and presumably ESPN. He is not subscribing to the package and thus helping to finance DirecTV and NFL but still probably can get ESPN. Nice gesture though.

Beef’s (the nickname of them) is a great place to eat. The original Beef’s is still open and we love going there if we are in Eastern Hillsborough County (The first one opened in Brandon, Florida). I hope all Beef’s will follow...

I called my provider, told them to remove NFL network.
They said "we can't do that, it's bundled"
I said "cancel me completely, thank you"
"um, one minute please"
"hi, this is XXX manager, we CAN do it, we just found out how"... and we'll cut your monthly price in half to keep you as a customer"

So now we don't pay NFL anything out of our now 1/2 price subscription.
Funny how they "found a way".
