How in the world did the color red become symbol of the Republican Party, which was always assigned to the stinking commy left?

I would suggest that it was a cynical media experiment, which worked to demonstrate the limited perspective of most politicians. I have been cringing at the absurdity since 2000.

That changed in 1980 when Reagan trounced Jimbo Carter. Before that, the networks chose their own color scheme. One network said Red was for the incumbent party and blue for the challenger. Others claimed they were random. Still others didn't want the red color associated with the red party. This site is one of the few which still uses the traditional association:
Yellow indicates the 2 faithless electors for Trump in Texas and 5 for Clinton in Washington and Hawaii. Maine and Nebraska vote by congressional district and so display district results. Huzzah for the district in Maine!

The Lamestream Media did that by creating an election night map where they flipped the colors as a way to jab a stick in our eye.

The media, including Fox, did it in 2000. Then they rushed to name sites Red State, etc...Shows their power.

LOL..Do a lil research...you'll me surprised what you'll find....ORIGINALLY republicans/conservatives were blue....when it became obvious that "Reds" represented communists....it was too obvious what was going on.... an Orwellian change happened magically..and no one thought it was important....I expect my grand children will grow up being left or wrong handed....Words are what your told they are....
