Kobach's lead in Kansas race falls to 91 votes

Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach's lead over Gov. Jeff Colyer in the Republican primary has shrunk to only 91 votes after election officials discovered a mistake in the listing for one county's results in the state's tally of votes.

The lead is minuscule when compared with the 311,000 votes cast.

The final, unofficial results posted on the secretary of state's website show Kobach winning Thomas County in northwest Kansas, with 466 votes to Colyer's 422. But the tally posted by the Thomas County clerk's office shows Colyer with 522 votes, or 100 votes more for him, a number the clerk confirmed to The Associated Press on Thursday.

Kobach is the only conservative in this race!

All local media supporting Colyer. Nice guy, Colyer has support of all GOPe, including Bob Dole (probably Bush’s as well) no conservative!

Prayers for count going to Kobach.

There will be no riots no matter who wins. This is a republican primary. Democrats only cheat when there’s something to steal.

How do Democrats find extra ballots in a GOP only primary?

Which one do they want to run against? I could be wrong, but not all the clerks and poll workers would need to be Republican.

Some time ago, I recall viewing an “undercover” video recording of James O’Keefe interviewing a Dem operative who was readily admitting to having stolen election after election from the Repubs. It’s the same old playbook, being executed (so far) without impediment.

If they outlaw, “finding” votes they will start losing them.

I KNOW it is the Republican PRIMARY, but these days, the RINOS and the Dems are two peas in a pod.

Count on lots of boxes of ballots being “discovered”.

I found an amusing article here:
https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2018/08/kris-kobach-gop-primary-voter-recount

Be forewarned of Trump-hate. The article points out that Kobach is Kansas’ Secretary of State, thus oversees any recount, and will not recuse himself from the process.

For party only primaries all officials are of the party and yes they are even closely scrutinized. I am an election officer so I know.

If it’’s the Democrats that cheat how can they do it in a Republican primary?

They do it all the time.

They control most of the county clerk offices.

Who’s the one conservatives want to win?

Colyer was Brownback's lieutenant governor for seven years, and Brownback was a pretty solid conservative. Kobach has been working with Trump.

Has there EVER been an election where the “Found” ballots helped a Republican?

This one. It was the Republican primary.

That’s until the Dims “discover” 5000 more ballots from dead voters.

Doesn't make a difference here. It was the Republican primary.

Amazing what can happen in the spirit of bipartisanship (The GOP and the Democrats both want him to lose).

The Democrats think Kobach is the more beatable of the two so I don't think they're the ones padding Kobach's totals.

LOL! In Thomas County? The Trump took the county with 82% of the vote.
