The problem of the wet Sahara
by Michael Oard
This article is from Journal of Creation 31(1):34 April 2017
Both creation and secular geologists agree the earths deserts and semi-arid areas were once well watered.1 Creation scientists attribute this to the ponding of water in enclosed basins during the run-off stage of the Flood and greater Ice Age precipitation. During this time the Great Salt Lake in Utah, USA, was about 12 times its current area and about 330 m deeper.2 Measuring the ancient shorelines in Death Valley, California, USA (figure 1), shows a lake once filled Death Valley 170 m deep.2 Today it is one of the hottest, driest places on Earth.

Mountain ranges change over time. The middle east was much wetter in historical time frames than today, as was New Mexico.
A “Wet Sahara” makes me ask “How long till it is wet again?”
Now, what happened to the lake? Did the Dinosaurs drove their SUVs and caused it to be boiled off? No, it was caused by the sun’s activities...
Today, deserts exist at 30 degrees north and south latitude due to global winds and dry descending air at this latitude.... science has claimed that a wobble in the earth’s rotation may have changed the climate of the Sahara....they don’t know! they do know that the pox of the planet, man, is heating up the planet and they know to a tenth of degree what the average earth temperature will be in 50 years becasue of it.
#5 I have 2 thermometers in a room. They are about 10ft apart from each other and give 2 different temps. One is off by the other by about 2 degrees.....
70% of the earth is covered by an ocean plus there are vast empty spaces of land where there are no thermometers. Any readings from space are less then 50 years old. In short no temps to record so the “scientists” guess.
So how is it that these climate “scientists” can predict a temperature 50 years and 100 years from now when the weatherman cannot tell me accurately what tomorrows weather will be?
Fake climate model information inserted in a computer. Garbage in and garbage out.
I blame it mostly on Jerry Brown’s water management policies.
There are YUGE aquifers deep under the desert.
They mine SALT by hand in the desert. They saw off big chunks and load them on camels to take them to market.
Where did the salt come from?
Egyptian priests told the Greeks that the sun had, on two different occasions, risen in the West. If true, Mother Earth has had her butt whipped on many occasions.
