Agreed.

But I'd also forward the proposition that if "mainstream conservatism" continues to hold onto the "civic nationalism/anyone can be a good American/you're an American because you have a piece of paper" mentality, then it will continue to not really conserve anything.

Like it or not, importing millions of foreigners with no tradition of self-government, and expecting Magic Soil(TM) to make them into "good by-gum Amurricans!" is a fool's errand. If you want to conserve what America actually is, then you need to preserve (or return to) the demographics that America had when it was actually America.

I agree, I have traveled around and found just two areas that are still America. The rest of it looks, and acts, like the UN.
