LOL!

I used to get scores our of the library, stand in front of the Stereo, and “conduct”. My favorite was “Symphonie Fantastique” by Berlioz.

With those Voice of the Theater Speakers (utilized in Boston’s CINERAMA Theater), it was like having the whole orchestra in the living room.

I have top-of-the-line ADS speakers from 1982, and when the CD era began, I could hear the floorboards on the podium creak when the conductor gave the downbeat.

I would occasionally conduct the Sixth Symphony of Dvorak from the score, but my preference was to sing the bass choral parts of the Berlioz Requiem. I made sure no one was within hearing distance first.
