"About five or six years ago, some folks in the Virginia legislature got a law passed that says you can't ban firearms when you're in a state of emergency and that's what the problem is right now,” Snook said. “So if you want to blame someone, blame the Virginia legislature."

If I'm correct, this may be fallout from New Orleans and the Katrina debacle where the popo unlawfully liberated firearms from citizens. And, as mentioned in the discussion at the article, there is that pesky Bill Of Rights to contend with.

Sounds like another made up problem.

If there is one thing Progressives are good at, it is making up hypotheticals to justify doing whatever they want to do, using the power of the government.

“So if you want to blame someone, blame the Virginia legislature."

Who's blaming them, for once they did something right.

LOL! I probably would have used “credit” to the legislature for upholding the BOR.

It is the people's right to keep and bear arms, especially in an emergency situation when they will need them the most.

This author is a world class intentionally ignorant gun grabber who is pissed because the law prohibits what he wants to do most.

and that is,

TAKE GUNS WITH ANY AND EVERY EXCUSE AND LIE HE CAN INVENT.

People like him want to be able to invent an emergency that will allow them to take our guns away. The peoples representatives just told him to put that where the sun does not shine.

Now the snowflake gun grabber is whining.

Screw him and all the rest of the gun grabbers.

For all we know, that disease they have in Chiraq and Baltistan might just spread to the rest of our nation.

You know the disease, the sickness of “lets shoot someone for fun in our land of recreational homicide”.

This is a democrat disease that is almost totally contained to the democrat youth in the big cities right now.

Our guns will insure it stays there.

Mr. Democrat, why have you allowed this culturally accepted sport of recreational homicide to exist in your cities for the last 25 years without stopping it or even slowing it down?

Remember that Chiraq and Balistan are and have been totally controlled by democrat politicians for many decades.

If it were not politically and culturally accepted any sane leaders would have stopped it long ago but democrats have done nothing about it and it gets worse every year.

So, don't try to take my guns while indicating that this is the answer and your way works.

Chiraq and Baltistan do not work for me.
