Police are blocking off streets and mobilizing hundreds of officers for the anniversary of a deadly white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, alarming activists who plan to rally against the hatred and bloodshed that shocked the nation last summer. --SNIP-- Lisa Woolfork, a University of Virginia professor and Black Lives Matter Charlottesville organizer, said police are mounting a "huge, overwhelming show of force to compensate for last year's inaction."
"Last year, I was afraid of the Nazis. This year, I'm afraid of the police," Woolfork said. "This is not making anyone that I know feel safe."

Police mobilization ahead of Charlottesville anniversary alarms ANTIFA and BLM terrorists.
There. I fixed it for you.
Not only would it be peaceful, no one would even pay attention to the rally.
How about stay the eff away?
“...activists who plan to rally against the hatred and bloodshed...”
Why would activists AGAINST hate and bloodshed be afraid of the police??????
On the 6 o’clock DC news tonight, they showed a group of black bloc people carrying some banner about no hate or some such. They were dressed in black but no masks and they all looked like Samson after he got his hair cut off, pretty meek. They couldn’t even get any volume on their chants.
I’m still betting on violence in both Virginia and DC tomorrow, with the cops not taking any crap from anyone. And we all know which side is going to be throwing crap, literally, at the cops.

The Charlottesville story has taken on a life of it’s own. It is now said the bad actors were the white supremists. The story is that a part of this group of what probably were white supremists and augmenting them were others wanting to save the statues from destruction. This second part of the group had many who were not supremists but did have a common cause - save the statues. This group applied for and received the required permissions to meet in the park. There were no clubs or brass knuckles. Call these Group #1.
Antifa and BLM arrived to demonstrate against the first group and filled the street. These did have clubs. Once antifa was in position, the mayor rescinds the permit group #1 had received and the police ordered them out of the park onto the street now filled with group #2 - antifa and BLM - who then began blooding up group #1.
One protestor was killed when hit by someone in a car who panicked and put the pedal to the medal when his car was nearly surrounded by protestors.
I followed the event pretty closely at the time. And what I’m hearing now doesn’t match what I heard then.
Charlottesville was an elaborately staged play.
What the anti-racists arent saying is that their real goal is to tear down the General Lee statue downtown. That is the reason for the massive police presence
There is also a very heavy state police presence all around UVA. My guess is that some of the protestors are not fond of its founder either. The Thomas Jefferson statue on campus is another potential prize for the iconoclasts.

You said that so well.
That’s what he means. That’s exactly the problem.

Could it be they fear the police because they are planning to break the law?
