Impeachment of Trump has nothing to do with the Democrats.
The plan always was (and probably still is) for Mueller to give Ryan a fig leaf that would be enough for him to wrangle the 25 GOP votes needed to send charges to the Senate.
McConnell only needs 19 GOP Senators to convict, and I bet he has 30.

Excellent point. Trump only needs a relative handful of Republicans to stay in office, and if Graham is supporting him, then he’ll have most, if not all, of the Republicans on his side.
