The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) dealt a lethal blow to the so-called ‘caliphate’ a week ago, when their troops seized the last border points that were under the Islamic State’s control in eastern Syria.

According to the official spokesperson for the SDF, their troops managed to capture the entire desert of eastern Deir Ezzor and secure the Al-Hasakah provincial border that weekend.

“I wonder where the next “death blow” will be?”

That is why maps are so helpful.

Thanks BeauBo.

I just right-clicked on one of those small maps to open it in a new tab, the HTML code must have been constraining the width.

Er, thanks, Paladin2. I think.

Not to brag, but I did a lot of work on the Defense Data Network back in the 1980s. I worked on the unclassified side which was then called MILNET. Combined later with the ARPANET to become the Internet. Of course all this was before the Internet was a thing, so I guess I could be a little retarded on it.

SDF is simply another bunch of brutal mideast murderers.

Are there any other kind?

Most FReepers complain about over-sized images.

Sometimes posted images are “told” by the HTML [width=”x”] to display smaller than the resolution available. In that case one can “view” them in a separate tab/window to benefit from the whole resolution.

My bad for a personal attack. Sorry.

No worries!

I am on a business trip and my older laptop doesn’t have Chrome. I just have Edge and IE 11 and neither let’s you right click an image and open in a new tab—that I know of (I tried). I’d have to go to properties, highlight and copy the link, and then open in another tab.

I will admit I am an “expert” (Ex (has been) spurt, haha) on networking, but NOT browsers!

There’s still so much to learn in this world, and my knowledge is an infinitesimal, tiny piece!

"I also like my pictures of hot military chicks larger" Well here you go - a hot military chick, displaying different Israeli uniform configurations, unconstrained by the HTML.

Depends on the map source. And they were in and out of Iran, and no one knew it until they told the world. They are tending to their own defense, which is right and proper, and unlike what everyone else in the region does.
