Very few read books anymore. The real money is in either her own TV show or a speaking tour.


I don’t know. The Clintons—all of them—have made tens of millions of dollars in book deals, as have the Obamas. Don’t know how many of their books are actually read, but publishers seem to love to dump money on them. I wonder why that is?

Big upfront royalty payments that can never be recouped by sales is an easy way to buy influence and circumvent campaign contribution limits.

Democrats used to be able to get away with bulk book sales to contributors, but Jim Wright ruined that particular scam.
