One of the things that grind my gears is the inability of the American right to look to very recent history and frame the current situation in context.

Thousands of American communists went to Spain to fight Franco in the Spanish Civil War, after WWII they were categorized as "Premature Anti-Fascists" and were correctly viewed with suspicion by the FBI and the rest of FED.GOV.

The war between Fascists and Communists is now over 100 years old.
