Paul Krugman: Donald Trump’s tax cut remains remarkably unpopular... Democrats are running against the tax cut more than Republicans are running on it. Nor are Republicans talking much about Trump’s trade war, which also remains unpopular... the supposed menace from illegal immigrants... hasn't been gaining much traction, either. Instead, Republicans' attack ads have increasingly focused on... Nancy Pelosi... So this seems like a good time to remind everyone that Pelosi is by far the greatest speaker of modern times and surely ranks among the most impressive people ever to hold that position.
Oh, and don't forget, The New York Slimes is *not* fake news. /snicker Krugman's no better than oh for three in that ludicrous shill piece. Thanks Sub-Driver.
There are so many who have sold their soul for an agenda, and Paul’s one of them. I think that’s why I got so PO’ed, because he should know better. I taught at a Big Ten university and have seen far too many play with the truth in their classes. It really is sickening.
Excellent posts, but I have to believe Krugman’s slobbering over Pelosi goes even beyond “agenda”. That’s practically delusional.

I’ve been a Friedmanite from day one and had many “spirited” debates with colleagues over gov’t intervention in the marketplace. A liberal, even an educated one, argues from emotion, not fact. I was in a debate with one colleague and boxed them into a corner where they had no choice but to admit they were wrong. The result: “That may be so, but I don’t believe it!” whereupon they stomped out of my office.
It’s like debating a post. I ate lunch alone...a lot.
