I’m really surprised this has not made more of a national news story, I’m pretty sure that this is the first time in history a state has sucessfully impeached their entire Supreme Court all at once....
If they abused their authority I don’t care which side they’re on. They need to be gone.
Would someone in the know please share some details about why they were impeached, what kinds of crimes these folks were involved in?? I see in the article some mentions, but I’m pretty sure there must be even more to it.

This is a huge national story.
Besides irresponsibly wasting the tax payers money for personal comforts and expenses, which is bad enough, was this a liberal leaning cabal as well? I don’t know the WV local politics.

If Pennsylvania would do the same for all justices who voted (and redrew congressional districts). Completely overstepped their bounds, as it is the PA Houses job to set district lines.
Hope this trend spreads to Pennsylvania.

Typical how the story goes....no mention of political affiliation, unless I missed it. They must be democRATS, although it would not surprise if a pubbie was involved.
Now the case goes to the WV Senate for trial.
In order to remove the justices, a 2/3 vote is needed. Republicans have 22 of 34 seats in the Senate. They will need all Republicans and one Democrat to remove any justice.
Oh boy!!! The dims will sue if any of these are dims. If they are republicans, then the dims will say that is a republican for you.

A good start, but what we really need is federal judges impeached over judicial legislation — aka tyrannical usurpation of power:
“The Republican-led House on Monday night impeached Justice Beth Walker and the other justices for abusing their authority. The article says they failed to control office expenses and not maintaining policies over important matters such as working lunches, the use of state vehicles and office computers at home.”
