I like beards on a lot of men; it depends on the man and how meticulously he’s going to keep it.
The men who have and ignore food hanging and hiding in their beard aren’t exactly attractive; just saying.
Comments ladies?
It would almost be a deal breaker for my wife if I were to grow a beard. Or any facial hair for that matter.
And why would one cover up a face like this?! LOL!
Thats the easy part. When you rent it to the members of the local wildlife community you just put upkeep clauses in the lease.
It has been a couple of years since I have had a beard. Lots of times I grow one in the winter. I keep it neatly trimmed and do not allow it to grow long and bushy or allow it to be on my neck.
It has been gray for several years. i am told it looks very distinguished and women tell me frequently that they like it.
I like a man with a beard; BUT, I usually like the ones that are well trimmed and simply follow the jawline.
Unfortunately, all these guys seem to be going all Jeremiah Johnson on us with this long, scraggly, unkempt beards.
Trim it back a bit, fellas, please.
“It depends on the man” is probably the best arbiter of whether it looks good or not. Mine doesn’t come in evenly, nor is it comfortable when it does, so it doesn’t make sense for me.
Some men can pull it off (e.g. Sean Connery) though, so more power to them.
The article makes mention that Gillette is struggling due to the trend. In my case, I ditched the expensive cartridges in favor of the double-edged safety razor. Being able to get 100 blades for $10 makes way more economic sense to me.
You could write a contrasting article that there is a growing number of men who are embracing the traditional manly art of shaving, and ditching mainstream manufacturers like Gillette and Schick in favor of single and double edged safety razors or even straight razors.
Big-Shave is sort of getting squeezed from both sides.
