It is VERY hard to fire a federal employee. To fire a female woman of color is virtually impossible. The White House staff may be different but you can bet this female person of color will be challenging GEN Kelly with wrongful dismissal.

This is the way it will likely proceed.

Was the female person of color counseled? If yes when.
Was a counselling statement provided to the employee?
Was the employee allowed the opportunity to challenge the firing?
Etc., Etc., Etc,. Litigation will go on through Trumps second term.

Once upon a time I would have made a snarky comment about that, but these days one can't assume anything. :-)

I worked with one who transferred to HR from the accounting dept. back in the 90's. She was a major problem and everyone in accounting hated her guts.

It didn't take her long to start her crap in my dept. Couldn't do the job, complained about our boss to the Corporate HR manager. She went off on disability for almost a year, meanwhile her work was shoved on me.

When she came back to work, they promoted her to a management position in another area of the plant. She couldn't do that job either and thankfully she went off on disability again and nobody missed her.......
