Why is anybody no longer employed by the government allowed to keep security clearance. Are they above the rest of us private citizens? Sounds like some sort of special class. Time for them to move on and get on with their lives and stop trying to be our masters.

As I hear, they keep it for a transition period to help newbies. Either way, it’s time!

When I left government service over 40 years ago my secret clearance was revoked and I was told that as persons leaving have no need, they are closed out. But that if the government has need of me again, the clearance would be restored, or words to that effect.

That only applies to the upper echelons of the oligarchy. Regular staff members are stripped of their clearances before they hit the parking lot.

Don’t be ridiculous as thousands of civilians and contractors have security clearances. What happened in this case was the law was being violated because information was passed to these oligarchical swine when they did not have a “need to know”.

I heard a good explanation this morning on the radio. It was a courtesy of Presidents to allow former IC heads to keep their clearances, so that they could be called in to advise on some issue for which they had expertise. It made it easier for the current agency to bring them back in to a meeting.

Unfortunately, the Obama slimeballs like Brennan et. al. abused this courtesy, and after giving them enough rope to hang themselves (so to speak), Trump is now pulling their clearances.
