Keith Ellison allegations 'disturbing,' DNC says

The Democratic National Committee said it is reviewing allegations against its deputy chair, Rep. Keith Ellison, three days after he was accused of physically and verbally abusing his ex-girlfriend.
“These allegations recently came to light and we are reviewing them,” the DNC told NPR in a statement Tuesday evening. “All allegations of domestic abuse are disturbing and should be taken seriously.”

Just hours after the DNC said it was reviewing the allegations, Mr. Ellison went on to win the Democratic primary for Minnesota attorney general, easily besting four other challengers Tuesday evening.

I don’t want to appear racist but isn’t Ellison being given 10 times the leeway already than others? And isn’t that exactly like sports fans (politics is my sport) know that the NFL and NBA say if a black is in trouble for violence or drugs or battering or raping a woman: now that we see he’s important to the playoff chances of the team he’s on, he can have a sixteen week delay in his trial to get past the championship games and then will be let go with probation to turn his life around.
IF he isn’t a highly paid top black athlete, they can use him as an example of how righteous the team owner and networks are as they roast him and pat themselves on the back for that.
