what about tariffs designed to, say, protect labor unions as they destroy the American manufacturing sector in order to contribute hundreds of millions of dollars to socialist politicians, so they can further destroy the American economy, thereby creating a crisis (”never let a good crisis go to waste”) that can only be corrected by more big government, which caused the crisis in the first place?
