While what you say may be partially true, we are not presently involved in a trade war...

Yeah we are

...and the Trump trade negotiations have nothing to do with Illinois being a terrible place to be in business..

This is a company that has been doing business in Illinois for how long and they're suddenly realizing that it's a terrible place to be in business? I doubt this decision was only two months in the making, and maybe the tariffs are only a convenient excuse to offshore their remaining manufacturing, but it doesn't hide the fact that there will be casualties in this trade war. The media are going to highlight the pain and gloss over the gains, so the gains will have to be transparent in and of themselves.

Yeah we are

In the same sense that we are not involved in a war on islam.

In both cases the other side is fully involved while we just stick our fingers in our ears and go la-la-la-LA-LA-la-la-la...

There are still many reasons to move to Mexico for manufacturing. This isn’t about steel tariffs. Illinois taxes, state and federal regulations, and labor shortages are all likely factors.
