A whistleblower made this shocking allegation to me last week: the IRS was tipping off members of Congress to corporate takeovers so the elected officials could profit from insider trading.
My snitch also charged that higher-level employees of the IRS also used that information to enrich themselves.
This may sound crazy but remember: Up until a few years ago members of Congress were allowed to trade stock based on information they got while performing their public duties.
It wasn’t until 2012, during President Obama’s tenure, that the practice was banned.

When was the practice of insider trading banned? That law, passed with fanfare by Obama in 2012, was virtually gutted on April 15, 2013, when the requirements on transparent reporting of stock purchases by Congressmen and Senators were rescinded.
Have you noticed any “public servants” retiring poorer than when they entered office? Term limits should have been passed decades ago so these office holders would have been limited to 8 years and 12 years to feather their nests.

What’s so shocking? You only need to deal with the IRS once to know that there’s a whole lot of shady business going on in that agency, and it’s brazen enough that they don’t care if you know it.
Yes. Obama only raised it when he had to during reelection when it became news. Then he ignored it.

The Founders planned a government served by citizens who would come and serve for a few years and then leave to go back to live under the laws they helped pass. They did not intend a permanent ruling class of political hacks who have managed to spend 20 TRILLION dollars they didn’t have by promising freebies to ignorant voters.
As far as the criminals in the CIA and FBI, that is totally the fault of the Presidents who appointed the heads of those Executive Branch agencies. There should never have been a government workers union that gives job security to the enemies of our country just because they managed to be hired by incompetents in the past.

Yes, we knew that Congress critters could legally use insider information.
But people high up in the IRS? Nobody knew about that.
It is a huge story.
I would like to see evidence and an investigation.
