My daughters found used prom dresses or hand me downs on web sites like eBay or from friends. Dad provided up to $50 for the necessary alterations.

Middle daughter told me she could do it for $30 and could she have the $20 thus saved.

They are ALL doing financially better than Mom and Dad now.
