I think of it as more of an educational story, re:how stupid things win stupid prizes.
However, on the Darwin Awards - they wouldn’t be “Hall Of Shame” candidates. That would be for people who only managed to slightly injure themselves while doing something deadly-stupid. That is, these are “Famer” material, not “Shamer” material; they managed to remove themselves from the gene pool.
I stand corrected.
This pair belongs in the DA pantheon, however it is designated!
