Interesting theory. Who do you mean by “media shills”? Is it the conservative journalists (Hannity etc?) — or someone else you’re talking about?

The pace of activity Trump is setting is too fast for the media to catch up. The 39% approval by Blacks is tremendous and very surprising good news.
The guy really has the Midas touch. Thank God for social media and his Twitter account. It’s flipped the narrative in his favor big time!
My take is that Omarosa had lost her usefulness to Trump. With support from Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, and Candace Owens, Trump no longer needs a Cruella de Vil in the Oval Office.
Now he’s done with Omarosa forever and her malevolent personality is further exposed.

There's no question about it. Omarosa was one of many hires who will wind up fired or otherwise out of a job. It happened during the campaign, during the transition, and during the administration, to a lot of people, and there's nothing wrong with it. Candidate Trump said he was going to generate more publicity and attention than anyone has ever seen. The PMS have figured out that they've been doing his work for him no matter what he does or says or what they try as a smear. After the November BBQing their fellow Dewmits receive, the PMS are going to purge their own ranks, the same way they've been trying to purge new media.
