Full title: Military Atheist Group Wants to Throw Air Force Commander 'Behind Prison Bars' for His Christian Faith
The Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) sent a formal complaint this week to Defense Secretary James Mattis calling for an investigation of Brig. Gen. E. John Teichert, a Christian and the newly installed commander of the 412 Test Wing at Edwards Air Force Base in California.
The group is furious at Teichert for posting links to articles, a Christmas video, and scriptures on his personal website called Prayer at Lunchtime for the United States. The website also has a list of prayer requests.
The MRFF says the website is in violation Air Force and Defense Department rules about religious proselytizing.

Yeah, this is completely ridiculous. If this guy was standing his troops at attention in formation and telling them “You WILL be in the base chapel this Sunday and every Sunday at 0800,” that’s one thing. But running a religious website is not forcing religion on people. You can choose to go to the website or not, it’s not like the Air Force intranet is redirecting you there. This is much ado about nothing.
Funny thing is, his critics can’t even criticize him for misuse of official time. His bio stated, until yesterday, that “he’s an active duty Air Force colonel”. He’s a brigadier general now, which shows that the website has not been maintained in awhile. He probably updated it after this story broke and he went to go see if the site is still up.
Yeah, I’d like to hear of an atheist in the middle of combat with bullets flying say, “I’m not afraid to die and my existence utterly end. Doesn’t bother me”.

use the same rules on this group....one thing I have learned is groups like this atheist group do not see there actions as apostatizing so the very behavior they complain about there membership feels very free to engage in...if you call them on the carpet they claim freedom of speech and that what they are doing has nothing to do with religion.
But they say nothing about muzzies recruiting for their cult.
When we disagree and don’t like what they do we try to leave them alone as long as they don’t bother us. When they don’t like what we do they want it banned even though we are not bothering them.
These silencing tactics of the media complex and their conglomerate overlords will finally force patriots and Christians to answer the scream of the civilized world.
It’s called “supply and demand”. Capitalism will drive a multitude of other SINCLAIRS’ to begin to rise up and step out, onto the battle field.
Whining and complaining has accomplished nothing but to feed an escalating crisis for FREE SPEECH in the public square.

Yeah, what a travesty. If he had been posting links to antifa, the Sierra Club, or Black Live Matter from his govt. computer on the clock, he'd be fine. In fact, he'd be up for several awards. Quotes from Trotsky and Lenin would be great but religious scripture, oh boy, he's really done it this time.

When somebody has a website directed toward kids saying stay in school, don’t join street gangs, stay away from substance abuse, nobody screams that they’re pushing their beliefs on people. But the mere mention of religion from a website directed at nobody in particular drives the atheists crazy. They’re morons.
They’re protected inside the workplace, too - if we had honorable judges.
It will change - when Islam takes over.
So “Mad Dog Mattis” and President Trump, where are you on the continued persecution of Christians in the military? Since not another left wing military social experiment has been erased with the departure of Obama, why should we expect any different with this issue? Mattis is a disaster at the Pentagon, he has not lifted a finger to enhance combat readiness by cleaning out the trash left by Obama and his military hating sycophants.
But a lot of war time atheists end up burning in hell.
That website is completely unrelated to his position in the Air Force. Hopefully, saner heads will prevail on this.
