I know it's irreverent, but that anyone would actually want to wear a colander on their head to slight Christianity is just plain funny! I say let her wear it - it's a huge neon sign that translates, 'do not mate with me' !

I think there is a serious point being made using a humorous medium. I don’t think this is a slight on Christianity as it is that giving special treatment to ANY religion demands that religiosity be defined.
And we know in the EU today it isn’t Christianity that is given wide latitude.
Note: The Church of the Spaghetti Monster was created to make that point.

These creeps wear it for picture day but never in their daily life.
One got busted with a driving infraction once and didn’t have the strainer on his head.

Good. Maybe this can be used as a pretext to stopping the nonsense of calling ilam a religion.
We all know it is not.

"It is important to be able to criticise religious dogma freely through satire but that does not make such criticism a serious religion, the council said, adding that Pastafarianism lacked the seriousness and coherence required of a religion."What is a religion?
How did the court determine that this organization is satirical and thus not religious? Was it based on their subjective beliefs? What are the "serious and coherence" rules?
These questions are important because religious organizations get special treatment under the law (e.g. tax exemption).

I say let her wear it - it's a huge neon sign that translates, 'do not mate with me' ! If they let these jerks wear them for the ID, then they should be required to wear it at all times. Otherwise, they should be arrested or ticketed for not having a valid I.D. when they are pulled over.
